Jean B. Kolodzik Memorial Scholarship
We are pleased to announce that Winnebago Community Credit Union will again award the Jean B. Kolodzik Memorial Scholarship to a high school senior graduating in the spring of 2024. Jean worked at WCCU for 33 years and embodied the people-helping-people commitment at the root of our financial cooperative.
The WCCU Board of Directors will determine the recipient from schools in the surrounding area and receive a one-year $1,500 scholarship. Here are the criteria to qualify:
- Applicant or parent must be a Winnebago Community CU member
- Applicant must attend a college or technical college
- Applicant must have two letters of reference (75 words or less) – one from a teacher and one from a counselor
- Applicant must complete the essay question (300 words or less) in the application packet
The winning student will receive the scholarship award upon presentation of first semester grades. To be eligible, the student must maintain a 2.0 or better grade point average.
