Jean B. Kolodzik Memorial Scholarship
We are pleased to announce that Winnebago Community Credit Union will again award the Jean B. Kolodzik Memorial Scholarship to a high school senior graduating in the spring. Jean worked at WinCU for 33 years and embodied the people-helping-people commitment at the root of our financial cooperative.
The WinCU Board of Directors will determine the recipient from schools in the surrounding area and will receive a one-year $1,500 scholarship. Here are the criteria to qualify:
- Applicant or parent must be a Winnebago Community CU member
- Applicant must attend a college or a technical college
- Applicant must have two letters of reference (75 words or less) – one from a teacher and one from a counselor
- Applicant must complete the essay question (300 words or fewer) in the application packet
The winning student will receive the scholarship award upon presentation of first-semester grades. To be eligible, the student must maintain a 2.0 or better grade point average.
