Accounting Associate

We currently have a career opportunity as an Accounting Associate at our Oshkosh Snell branch.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of activities to assist the manager in maintaining the financial and accounting records of the Credit Union
  • Prepare, pay, and file accounts payable for the Credit Union. Research and resolve discrepancies
  • Process, post, and balance ACH transactions
  • Prepare, post, and reconcile general ledger transactions for investment activity and schedules
  • Assist members with debit and credit fraud
  • Analyze and reconcile the general ledger for various accounts as assigned
  • Review daily cash balances
  • Research and adjust open items, cash imbalances, and variances
  • Set up and run all prepaid and fixed asset items in the depreciation program
  • Review and process bill pay
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to listen and identify members’ financial needs to better support their financial growth
  • Problem-solve to make decisions, ability to take initiative, post general ledger transactions, balance accounts, intermediate computer skills, and maintain a courteous demeanor in a busy and challenging work environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and ability to collaborate with others
  • Work 40 hours per week
  • High school diploma or GED required

Part-Time Member Associate (Teller)

We currently have a career opportunity as a Part-Time Teller/Member Associate at our Oshkosh Snell branch.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members with accurately and efficiently processing transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, money orders, or cashier’s checks
  • Verify endorsements and proper identification on deposit transactions
  • Execute wire or ACH transfer of funds
  • Assist members with debit, credit, and gift cards
  • Troubleshoot credit or debit card issues, online and mobile banking questions, or other general account-related questions and issues
  • Balance and maintain personal cash drawer and branch vault, and appropriate currency logs if applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to listen and identify members’ financial needs to better support their financial growth
  • Problem-solve to make decisions, ability to take initiative, perform cash handling transactions, intermediate computer skills, and maintain a courteous demeanor in a busy and challenging work environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and ability to collaborate with others
  • Work 20-25 hours per week including 2-3 Saturday mornings a month as well as open and close the credit union
  • High school diploma or GED required
