I love the Christmas season, my oldest son is three now… the perfect age for Christmas. He’s getting into Santa Claus and the concept of “naughty and nice” and Christmas gift giving. He helped us decorate the tree and put up Christmas decorations. So the holiday kick-off has been more fun than ever for our family this year.
That’s the great part. The hard part for Bob and I is all the holiday spending. Parties, decorations, gift-giving, travels to friends and families all take a toll on our monthly budget. It’s so easy to just reach for the credit card and worry about the details later. Then January comes…who opens up their January credit card statement? I don’t, it’s too depressing,. I just make a payment and open it in February.
